  • A chemical peel is the application of chemical solution by a trained professional. It exfoliates the skin at a deeper level than you can reach at home, removing the top layer of skin to expose new, revitalized skin with a fresh look.

  • Downtime varies depending on the intensity of the chemical peel that is chosen for you. Some people may not peel, while other people may peel a lot. Best results are seen after three chemical peels spaced one month apart.

  • Chemical peels can cause some discomfort but should not be intolerable. The stronger the peel, the more discomfort you may experience.

  • Avoid exercising, bathing with hot water and massaging for at least 48 hours.

When your skin starts to peel, DO NOT pull or peel your skin.

Avoid direct sun and tanning beds for 1-2 months. ALWAYS use sunscreen SPF 25 or greater when going outside.

Do not use any type of glycolic acid, retinol or exfoliation products until your skin is healed in about 7 days.

  • Anyone who may be pregnant must consult with a physician prior to treatment.
